The Sierra Bed Frame

With its unique beauty and non-toxic finish, this bed offers the environmentally conscious buyer many features: eco-friendly materials and finish with non-toxic water-based stains; solid wood only—no MDF or particle board; water-soluble glues and formaldehyde-free assembly. Available in platform or box-spring configurations, and finishes can be chosen from the swatches photograph.

From a sustainability perspective, the bed is crafted from wood reclaimed from century-old warehouses slated for demolition. By using reclaimed wood, trees are saved and living forests remain intact. The old-growth timber is rescued from the waste stream and given a second life, reducing landfill waste and carbon release. The grain’s tight growth rings indicate density and strength, while the natural aged sheen and color are preserved, delivering a look that cannot be recreated with new wood. Designed by Theodore A. Duquette and made by hand in the USA. Dimensions include headboard height 57 inches, floor-to-top of side rail 18.5 inches, mattress sits 0.5 inches below the top of the rail, and slat width 2 inches with 1.75-inch spacing.
